GLENAFTON boss Paul Paton says his team are raring to go for their huge Scottish Junior Cup clash with Bathgate.
After playing out a dramatic draw in the league against Troon two weeks ago, Glens have been without a fixture due to a free weekend and the impact of Storm Bert.
Paton admits it has been frustrating to see his side without competitive action, after recent good performances in the league.
He said: "We've been in good form and were looking to get games ticked off, so it's disappointing and frustrating.
"We also had a late call-off at our training facility, so we had to go and train on a five-a-side pitch in Kilmarnock.
"We wanted to keep the momentum up, but the boys are still looking fit and we're raring to go for Saturday."
Paton expects a tough clash against Bathgate this weekend, with the winner set to face either Tranent or West Park in the next round.
He added: "They are still in the cup so they will be a decent side with a lot of good players.
"We are wanting to build our style onto them and showcase what has been getting us good results in the league.
"We are aware of the next round fixture for the winner of course, and it will be a good reward for whoever comes out on top.
"We know that cup games are like a lottery, with two teams going hard at it for a prize in the next round.
"Whoever turns up on the day will be into the next round, and I'm confident it will be us."
Following the cup clash, Glens will take on Gartcairn in the league on Saturday, December 7, with some friendly matches also pencilled in for the festive period.
