Auchinleck assistant Allan McLuckie admits Talbot are still looking for their best team despite remaining undefeated in the league for another weekend.
Talbot got the better of Hurlford United in an all Ayrshire clash at Blair Park, with Ross Clark and Connor Boyd on the scoresheet either side of half time.
The East Ayrshire side have now recorded three wins from their opening four games to sit near the top of the West of Scotland Football League summit.
McLuckie says he was pleased with the performance at a "difficult" venue at Hurlford's Blair Park.
He told Talbot social media: "There are plenty of positives to take, over the past few years it's been a difficult place for us to come and pick up points.
"From the start we were very positive, we played with a lot of intensity and got the three points we deserved. We controlled most of the game, I can't think of too many points where they cut us open or the goalie had a save.
"We were comfortable winners in the end, but it's definitely a tough place to come."
Talbot will take on reigning champions Beith on Wednesday night, with McLuckie expecting a tough game.
He said: "We're still searching for our best team and formation. We changed it a wee bit today and I thought the players played with a lot of confidence.
"It's going to be another tough game on Wednesday. Beith are a good side, they've won the league two years in a row.
"They'll come looking to avenge their defeat at the weekend so we know it's going to be a tough game."
