Cumnock manager Brian McGinty says his side ‘bullied’ Kilwinning Rangers as they beat them 3-0 at the weekend.

The Nock travelled to Buffs Park on Friday night keen to extend their winning run to three matches.

They continued in a similar fashion to their wins over Hurlford United and Rutherglen Glencairn and took the lead midway through the first half.

Finlay Frye tapped into an open goal to put the away side ahead under the lights.

That was the only goal of the opening period as Cumnock went in at the break 1-0 up.

In the second half, the away side doubled their advantage via Alan Murdoch’s header before Kyle McAusland saw red.

However, despite the man disadvantage they still managed to grab a third through Smart Osadolor to seal the win.

Speaking to the Chronicle, McGinty said: “It was probably a different type of performance than we had the last two games at home.

“I thought we played well but it was a more battling performance.

“In particular, I think we just bullied Kilwinning all over the park and were the better team.”
