Lugar Boswell Thistle manager Greg Gallagher says his side’s recent upheaval of form is down to having players back from injury, as they beat Muirkirk 2-1 at the weekend.

Goals from Andrew Reid and David Rocks gave Thistle a comeback win at Burnside Park in Conference A.

Speaking to the Chronicle, Gallagher said: “It was one of the best team performances we have put in this season and I think we deserved the three points.

“That is now four wins, a draw and two defeats in our last seven games in all competitions.

“So, we are definitely turning a corner from where we were at the beginning of the season.

“That is down to get players back, our injuries at the start of the season were unbelievable.

“We were going through weeks where we had more players out injured than we had available for selection.

"But we are now in a position where all the players, bar a few, are back from injury and we have brought in a few additions to strengthen the squad.

“It has given us some healthy competition, so the players are fighting for their place but also for each other as well.”
