Cumnock manager Tony McInally was quick to heap praise on his new signing Smart Osadolor after the striker bagged a double in a 2-1 friendly win over Gretna FC 2008.

Nock lined up for their final friendly of preseason at the weekend looking to finish their fixtures undefeated going into the competitive season next weekend.

Cumnock went one nil down before the former Elgin City striker Osadolor brought them right back into the match.

The 30-year-old then grabbed his second, which was the eventual winner, to fire Nock to yet another pres eason victory.

Speaking to the Chronicle, McInally said: “Osadolor was brilliant for us at the weekend, he scored two goals and hit the bar.

“On another day he could have scored four or five, but we are getting chances and we will get to the stage we are killing off teams much easier.

“I was delighted with the result against a higher league opponent and it is fantastic that we are unbeaten in preseason. “

Osadolor comes in as one of the latest signings, but it has been a busy window for the Nock on the transfer front as they kick off their first season in the senior football set up.

Despite Nock making numerous signings so far this window, McInally says he still has a few more up his sleeve to come and said: “I have been really pleased with

the players we have brought in, we have a good balance all over the park.

“I am not finished however as I am hoping to add the finishes touches this week to the squad.

"I am looking at two more players coming in at the top end of the park and once I get that I will be delighted with the squad.”

Next up for Nock is their West of Scotland Football League Premier Division opener against Beith with McInally hoping for a positive start.

“Their manager Bryan Young played for me at Pollok and he will have the team in his own mould, they will be busy and lively.

“We are at home, so we want to start with a positive result and we look forward to the game.”
