ALMOST 300 entries were received by East Ayrshire Car Club for their Kames Classic Car Show.

Furnace Road in Muirkirk echoed to the sound of vintage and modern vehicles as they approached Kames Motorsport Complex to put on a mouthwatering display of motoring throughout the ages.

The show attracted more than 2,000 spectators from across Ayrshire and beyond. Notable original cars included: Rodger Clark rally car - possibly the most famous car ever on show along with Iso Bizzarrini, ShelbyGT350, Austin Chummy, R5 Rally cars. Other famous vehicles included Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, Triumph TR8 works car, many RS 2000 rally cars, Scimitar, Mercedes SLS Gullwing, Bentley, Porsche, Land Rover, TVR, Imps, Mini, MX5, Escorts and Subaru.

Vehicle of the Show was an 1982 Bedford ex-police Van which had been totally restored.
