ALL roads will lead to Beechwood Park on Saturday for what could be a potential McBookie Premiership title decider, as Auchinleck Talbot host leaders Hurlford United.

Bot went into the match on the back of a battling 1-0 home win against Hurlford United on Wednesday night.

Talbot are bidding to recapture the top flight crown for the first time in three years, with Glenafton Athletic and Beith landing the top prize in 2016-17 and 2017-18 respectively.

Meanwhile Sloan’s side stormed into the semi-finals of the West of Scotland Cup on Saturday with a well deserved 6-0 win against Carluke Rovers.

He told Sportscene: “It was a good result but people expected us to win. It’s good to be in the semi-finals, we are at home and hopefully we can make it through to the final.”

Looking ahead to Saturday, he said: “I know the Hurlford manager Darren Henderson well and it should be a good game of football on Saturday.

“It’s important that we win and claw back some ground on Hurlford.”

Meanwhile Cumnock FC assured their survival in the top flight on Saturday, without kicking a ball.

Hurlford’s 1-0 win against Renfrew ensured the threat of relegation was removed from the Townhead Park club.

However they certainly did much to pave the way for safety themselves.

‘Nock’s 1-0 win at Troon earlier this month was a great result and they also defeated champions Beith 2-1 on their own patch back in March.

It has been something of a roller-coaster season but they look to be heading in the right direction.
