CRAIGMARK BURNTONIANS 1
ARTHURLIE 1
CRAIGMARK fielded new signing Greg Vernon who made his debut against high flying Arthurlie.
The game got off to a great start when a mix-up in the visiting defence gave Scott Dempster the chance to score and he finished well to make it 1-0 after less than a minute.
This gave the Dalmellington side confidence and they played some decent stuff on a tough surface.
In 25 minutes, livewire Dempster again tried his luck from 20 yards but agonisingly for the hosts, the ball came back off the post.
Arthurlie started to come into the game and threatened a few times but the hosts went in 1-0 up at the interval.
The second half saw ‘Lie come out quickly and put ‘Mark under a bit of pressure but the defence stood tall and kept them out.
Craigmark looked good on the break and a big shout for a penalty when new signing Vernon did well in the box was waved away
In 67 minutes, Arthurlie equalised with a shot from the edge of the box which looked to be covered by home goalie Elliot Masterton, but unfortunately the ball went under his body.
The game was open and play swung from end-to-end with both teams going for the winner but it ended deadlocked.
