CUMNOCK and AUCHINLECK TALBOT remained on a potential collision course to face off in the West of Scotland Cup final.
Both sides progressed to the quarter-finals on Saturday after overcoming Clydebank 2-0 and Troon 3-1 respectively in the third round.
Talbot are away to Girvan in the quarter-finals after the Seasiders beat CRAIGMARK BURNTONIANS 4-0 at Station Park while Cumnock face a tricky away tie against either Shotts Bon Accord or Beith.
Elsewhere, LUGAR BOSWELL THISTLE's hopes of a promotion play-off were ended by a 2-1 defeat to Irvine Victoria in the Ayrshire District League.
David Jardine had given the Jaggy Bunnets the lead but Kevin Adam and Sean Mears hit back to steal the win and earn the Irvine side promotion.
Maybole denied MUIRKIRK all three points at Burnside Park after Mitchell Ewing popped up in the 90th minute to equalise.
The 2-2 draw means that a win in Muirkirk's final league game against Ardeer Thistle tonight (Monday) would guarantee them as best of the rest in eighth place.
Should title-chasing Dalry Thistle avoid defeat in their match with Whitletts Victoria tonight, Craigmark would join Irvine Vics and Dalry by earning promotion to the new Championship.
KELLO ROVERS lost 3-0 to Cambuslang Rangers in their penultimate Super League First Division match.
