AN overweight woman who hit the gym lost three stone and got in such good shape she gained a fiance - her hunky personal trainer.

Adele Farrell, 24, starting working out when she tipped the scales at 13st 6Ibs after gorging on crisps and chocolate and indulging in boozy nights out.

But the nurse then signed up to PT sessions with muscley Robbie MacGillivray.

She worked herself into super-fit shape and the pair then fell for one another and are now set to tie the knot later this year.

Adele, who will wed Robbie in April, said: "I went to the gym to get fit and fell in love with the man of my dreams.''

Robbie added: "She was a total rookie when she started. She had no idea about weights or anything like that.

"I kept wanting her to take it seriously but she eventually did and now I think she looks unbelievable. I'm blown away by how much she has changed."

Adele said it all turned around for her when Robbie started at the gym in the middle of October 2017.

She said: "I've always had the worst eating habits. I would go out every weekend in uni so that just made my diet even worse.

"I used to have no idea about nutrition. I would eat three times a day with a lot of foods that I thought were good for me but still very high in sugar.

"It made me feel rubbish about myself - I felt heavy all the time. All my friends are really skinny and I felt like I was always the fat friend.

"I attended the gym at night were two of the girls I know said there's a new personal trainer.

"And when I saw him I totally agreed with the girls - tanned, brown hair and muscles -totally my type.

"Over the next two weeks I saw him in the gym and I then decided to message him on his fitness page and he said he would personally train me.

"I would run him home from work at the beginning as he doesn't drive and one night about a week later we ended up kissing.

"We went on our first date the weekend after. It was pretty surreal, none of us planned on a relationship but it just felt right."

After their first date, Adele and Robbie began spending a lot of time together in and out of the gym and after three weeks they were in a relationship.

She said: "Robbie made me feel extremely special and went out his way to do everything to make me happy so I knew he was the one.

"I was in a relationship for seven years before Robbie and he was in a relationship for nine years and the bond between us is unbreakable.

"I have never had that with anyone before even in a long term relationship."

Romantic Robbie proposed to Adele on April 20 last year in Turkey on a private boat - four days into their first holiday together.

The mental health nurse said: "He had it all planned, my family already knew, he had asked for my dad's permission before going away.

"My best friend and mum helped him pick the perfect ring.

"I was shocked and surprised when he proposed, I never expected it but he couldn't have made the moment anymore special.

"I wouldn't have thought twice about saying yes."

Robbie said: "She would pick me up from work and after we kissed we went on a few dates.

"Proposing to her was nerve-wracking but I just knew I wanted to marry her.

"We are great together and I've never felt like that before."

Adele started working out in 2016 but after six months she noticed she had not lost as much weight as she had hoped.

But it was with a helping hand from Robbie, who is based at Motherwell's Pure Gym, Adele achieved her dream body.

Adele said: "I started at 10st 13lbs and my body fat was 29 per cent and after only five months of training with correcting my nutrition I lost ten per cent body fat.

"I gained muscle tissue and stayed roughly the same weight which I couldn't believe.I

''I prep all my food now and I try and have at least one cheat day every week.

"I feel amazing and Robbie has been great."

Adele, who has dropped five dress sizes says she always felt like "the fat friend" before being trained by fiance Robbie.

To show off her new figure Adele will be taking part in a bikini bodybuilding competition in Stafford, West Midlands, on March 31.
