A SECTION of the busy Great Western Road and Erskine Bridge slip are closed this morning as police rush to the scene.
Police Scotland told the Evening Times an incident is “ongoing” and that there had been a “serious road crash” in the area.
Traffic Scotland first alerted Twitter users to the incident just after 6am.

The team said: “#A82 Great Western Road N/B is currently ⛔CLOSED⛔ with traffic coming off at Mountblow. Police are on scene, traffic is building in the area.”

At 7am, the team issued another, similar update, saying: “#A82 Great Western Road N/B is currently ⛔CLOSED⛔ including the N/B slip to Erskine Bridge with traffic coming off at Mountblow. Police are on scene, traffic is building in the area.”
As of 8am, the A82 route northbound from Kilbowie Roundabout to the Erskine Bridge remained closed for “collision investigation.”
