ITV has announced the Love Island contestants for the 2023 summer series and some of the new Islanders have a claim to fame.

Ahead of their arrival in the Villa, Ella, Tyrique and Molly have explained their links to fame.

Let’s take a look at the three Islanders who are confirmed to be entering the Love Island Villa on Monday, June 5.

Love Island contestants with a claim to fame

Ella Thomas

Age: 23

From: Glasgow

Occupation: Model

Ella said she is the “whole package” and has a “big heart”.

She said she’d like the other Islanders to know that she’s “wifey material”.

When asked if she has a claim to fame, Ella said: “I’ve been in a Headie One and Burna Burna Boy music video and I was once an extra in World War Z. I was 12 years old when I filmed it and got to meet Brad Pitt which was cool.”

Tyrique Hyde

Age: 24

From: Essex

Occupation: Semi-Professional Footballer

Tyrique will “bring vibes, confidence, good energy and honesty” to the Villa, he says.

He said he isn’t someone who sits on the fence and viewers can expect him to speak up if he has an opinion to share.

When asked if he has a claim to fame, Tyrique said: “Toby Aromolaran is one of my best friends, we grew up together and were in the same class at school.”

Toby is a former Love Island contestant.

Molly Marsh

Age: 21

From: Doncaster

Occupation: Musical Theatre Performer and Social Media Creator

Molly lives on a farm with her family and said her appearance on Love Island is “ideal timing”.

When asked if she has a claim to fame, Molly said: “With my job being in social media, I’ve had some amazing opportunities to go on press trips and I’ve actually been out to the Love Island Villas in Mallorca and South Africa.

"Having the experience to walk around both was amazing but to now actually live in the Villa is going to be incredible.”

Love Island starts at 9pm Monday 5th June on ITV2 and ITVX.
