LOCALS with connections to Glenbuck are being invited to share their memories and ideas at a public meeting focused on the future of the former mining village.

The Shankly Glenbuck Village project will host a community meeting at St Thomas' Church Hall, Muirkirk, on Tuesday, October 20, with people able to drop in between 2pm and 7pm.

Organisers are encouraging attendees to give feedback on proposals, discuss their memories of Glenbuck and help influence future plans for the heritage village project.

The event is open to everyone, with the project team keen to hear from former residents, descendants and anyone with an interest in Glenbuck's history and future development.

Further information is available through the Glenbuck Heritage Village CIC website.
