HUNDREDS of keen runners and young fitness enthusiasts took part in the Mauchline 5K fun run and teddy bear dash at the weekend.
Mauchline Community Association organised the event, which saw hundreds run the fields and streets of the town.
The event included a 5k run around Mauchline, alongside a teddy bear dash, so families with younger kids could enjoy the fun.
It didn't disappoint, with organisers saying it was one of the best events to date and attention turning to next year's event already.
They said: "What an incredible day at the Mauchline 5K fun run and teddy bear dash.
"We had an amazing 334 people signed up across both routes, with so many visitors travelling from outside our village to join us.
"Thank you to every single person who took part and helped make the event such a fantastic success."
They added: "A huge congratulations to all our runners, and a special mention to our record breakers, with both the male 5K course record and the female 5K course record being smashed today!
"New record for the males is 18 minutes and 37 seconds and the females record is now 23 minutes and 1 second.
"We'd also like to say a massive thank you to all our volunteers, and supporters who worked so hard behind the scenes to make the day possible. We couldn't do it without you.
"See you all next year."
