A new peer support group has been launched to help people affected by cancer.
Ayrshire Cancer Support has introduced the after-hours group, named Peer Plus One, to offer a welcoming and informal space for individuals to share experiences and connect with others.
The group is open to anyone living with cancer, supporting someone through it, or adjusting to life after treatment.
It encourages attendees to bring along someone important to them, such as a partner, family member, or close friend.
Ayrshire Cancer Support said: "Living with or supporting someone through cancer can sometimes feel isolating, and Peer Plus One has been created to provide an opportunity for people to come together with someone important to them, whether that is a partner, family member or close friend."
The group is designed to help people feel less alone by meeting others who understand their journey.
It will meet monthly, alternating between the charity’s centres in Ayr and Kilmarnock to ensure accessibility across the region.

Ayrshire Cancer Support believes the group will also acknowledge the vital role played by loved ones throughout the cancer experience.
The charity said: "We hope Peer Plus One will provide an opportunity for people affected by cancer to feel less alone, while also recognising the important role that partners, family members and friends play throughout a cancer experience."
