A BLOOD donation session will be held in New Cumnock this week, with locals asked to support if they are able to.
The Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) will be holding a blood donation session at the Town Hall on Tuesday, July 28, with appointments available from 1.30pm to 3.30pm and 5.00pm to 7.00pm.
Appointments can be booked now by visiting www.scotblood.co.uk emailing nss.snbtsenquiry@nhs.scot or calling 0345 90 90 999.
Scotland particularly need donors with blood groups O and A.
Last week, blood donor sessions across Scotland collected 12 per cent less than what is needed.
This means that although stocks are stable, they will fall unless more Scots step up to donate in the days and weeks ahead.
