NEW Cumnock Gala Day is set to return this summer, with a packed day of family fun.

Returning to the village on Saturday, August 22, the main event will run from 12 noon until 4pm in the Glebe area beside the swimming pool.

Organisers have promised lots of activities, stalls and entertainment for all ages.

The day will begin with a community procession at 11am, setting off from Mounthope Terrace and making its way through the village to finish near the swimming pool.

There is no cost to be involved in the procession, with local groups, clubs, businesses and residents all encouraged to help fill the streets with colour and creativity.

At the gala itself, visitors can look forward to a wide range of attractions, including a climbing wall, STEM activities, bouncy castle, animal zone, food stalls, a duck race and a variety of games and inflatables.

There will also be stalls, crafts, face painting, tombola, raffle, sports activities and live entertainment across the afternoon.

The event will again feature a Gala King and Queen, celebrating young ambassadors and the spirit of the New Cumnock community, with organisers urging people to come along, support local and enjoy a day of making memories together.
