Ayrshire Vintage Vehicle Road Run returns to Cumnock

Crowds gathered at the Ayr Road car park on Saturday morning to admire the impressive line-up before the convoy set off on its scenic journey through Ayrshire and Dumfries and Galloway.

The beautifully restored trucks, many lovingly maintained by their owners, proved a popular attraction, with spectators taking the opportunity to get a closer look before the vehicles headed out on the road.

Alongside the classic lorries, a variety of vintage cars, vans, buses and emergency vehicles also took part in the annual event, which has become a firm favourite on the local calendar.

After leaving Cumnock, the convoy travelled through the Doon Valley, passing Dalmellington, Carsphairn, St John's Town of Dalry, Balmaclellan and Crocketford before finishing in Castle Douglas.

Stunning vehicles from decades gone by were on display throughout the morning, showcasing the pride and dedication of owners who continue to preserve these classic machines for future generations.
