RESIDENTS and staff were honoured in a joyful afternoon of celebration at a Cumnock care home.
Bute House Nursing Home held its annual care awards on July 3, with an event that included games, raffles, and plenty of laughter to recognise the everyday contributions of everyone who helps make the home such a special place.
Megan Nohar, home manager, said: "It was a privilege to see every single individual who makes our home so special recognised and honoured.
"Since taking up my post, our staff, residents and families have joined us on a journey of continuous improvement at Bute House.
"I am incredibly proud of the team and the contributions they make every day to providing a high-quality service for those in our community."
Every resident and staff member received a personalised award, with key workers nominating awards for residents and staff winners chosen by votes from colleagues, visitors, and family members.
Cheryl Hastie won the Dedication Award, while Paula Kelly was named Top Performer.
Ash Madhanashankar took home Employee of the Year, with Jane Robertson and Jean Paterson receiving Special Recognition Awards for their exceptional service.
The day was organised by Megan and featured games and raffles arranged by Paula and Abbie McKenzie.
Councillor Jim McMahon presented the awards and provided entertainment throughout the event.
Megan added: "A massive thank you to everyone who attended, helped and contributed to making this wonderful celebration possible.
"The care awards reflected the strong sense of community at Bute House."
