A VILLAGE primary school is preparing to celebrate a major milestone with a week of special events.
Ochiltree Primary is marking its 50th anniversary with a packed programme of activities for pupils, families, former students and the wider community.
Celebrations will run throughout the week beginning Monday, June 15 and include talks from former pupils, archaeological sessions, musical performances and a community afternoon tea.
A historical walking treasure hunt organised by the Parent Council will take place on Tuesday, June 16, while a 'Summer of '76' outdoor fun day is planned for Friday, June 19.
The anniversary celebrations will culminate on Saturday, June 20 with a family fun day at Ochiltree Community Hub featuring activities including a bouncy castle, soft play, Clydesdale horses and a mechanical milking cow.
A free 1970s-themed family disco will also be held that evening.
As part of the anniversary programme, pupils, former students and residents are being invited to take part in a special art and photography competition themed '50 Years Through Our Eyes'.
