KEEN runners will be pleased to hear that the Mauchline 5k fun run will be returning later this year.
Last year, dozens of runners, joggers and walkers took part in the event organised by the Mauchline Community Association SCIO team.
This year it will be back on Sunday, August 23.
Starting at 11am, adult entry is £5, with the event being supported by the Mauchline Community Lottery, helping to make family events affordable and accessible.
Kids under 16 can enjoy free entry.
This year, there will be the added bonus of the teddy bear dash, suitable for kids up the age of eight.
This will see little runners complete a lap of Beechgrove Park with their favourite teddy bear by their side.
Mum, Dad, Granny, Grandad or another grown-up can join in, too.
All finishers will receive a medal and booking is now open for the 5k run.
