DALMELLINGTON residents are being invited to find out more about becoming an on‑call firefighter at a recruitment event later this month.
Dalmellington Community Fire Station will open its doors on Saturday, June 27 from 10.30am to 1.30pm, for anyone interested in supporting their local community.
Visitors will be able to meet members of the crew, ask questions about the job and the training involved, and learn what is required to balance on‑call duties with work and family life.
The session is informal, and people can drop in at any time during the event.
