A TAKEAWAY has responded to claims that a member of staff was preparing food behind the premises to be sold to customers.
Chan's Kitchen in Patna was subject to social media suggestions that a chef was preparing a "creature with legs".
But the takeaway has rubbished posts that the creature was a seagull, instead insisting that the worker was preparing fish behind the takeaway for their own lunch meal.
Addressing the public concerns over the unsubstantiated rumours, the takeaway said: "To whom it may concern, the worker was preparing fish out the back of the shop for himself on a chopping board. This was not for any customer, we would not do that.
"I understand that the cook prepared food outside for himself and I have addressed this matter and can assure this will not happen in the future.
"And I will submit relevant evidence to the environmental health department.
"I’m here to serve my customers and your concerns mean a great deal to us, we will work harder to resolve this matter and to prevent anything like this from happening in the future."
