THOUSANDS of people once again showed up for the annual New Cumnock FitFest event over the weekend, which was the biggest yet.
Organised by New Cumnock Development Trust (NCDT), the fun day returned to Greenhead playing fields on Sunday.
Over the past few years, the day has become a favourite for New Cumnock and beyond, with people from right across Ayrshire enjoying the fun.
The idea of the day is to get people active and help change their lifestyles for the better.
The NCDT team have been keen to focus on helping people pick up small changes or habits which can help them live a healthier and more active life.
And the weekend was no different, with activities such as zumba, clubbercise, highland games, weight lifting and much more on offer for people to try.
It was a fabulous day that families could attend and take part in without spending a penny.
Favourites from previous years, including the zipline, climbing wall and assault course, were also back, as well as go karts and laser tag.
The event was once again kicked off by the 5k run through the streets of New Cumnock, with runners able to take a cold dip afterwards, thanks to support from cold-exposure enthusiast Luca Graham.
The NCDT team will soon put plans in place to continue the popularity of the event at the 2027 edition.
