THE latest batch of students on one of The King's Foundation's educational programmes have recently completed their course.
Students on the Introduction to Farming and Rural Skills programme recently completed their six-week course on the estate.
The estate offers a wind range of educational programmes for all kinds of crafts.
The programme, delivered by The King's Foundation, supports students to explore different parts of the agriculture industry and take the next steps in their career.
During the course, students learned cattle and animal care, fencing and dry-stone walling, and have spent time with industry partners as well as learning on the Dumfries House estate.
Student David said: "The course has opened my eyes to the farming world. It has grown my confidence especially with all the hands-on learning, which is the best experience to have to go into the farming world."
Fellow student Jack added: "I have learnt an entirely new side of the farming world that most people don't get to see.
"I have made new friends and improved my confidence, and I'm now looking to apply to do a pre-apprenticeship."
