Mauchline Primary and Early Childhood Centre has been forced to close on Monday, East Ayrshire Council has said.
Officials say that there is no running water within the facility.
Parents and guardians were made aware of the issue early on Monday morning and were told the school would be closed for the day.
Council bosses say that engineers are due to attend the school and assess the situation.
It's added that parents and carers will be updated on matters later on Monday.
