A man allegedly pushed two women down a flight of stairs in Auchinleck.
Derek Nisbett faces two serious assault charges after the alleged incident at his home address in Old Avenue on July 28 last year.
It's claimed the 42-year-old assaulted one woman pushing her on body and causing her to fall down a flight of stairs to her severe injury.
The Crown's indictment claims the allegation was aggravated by involving abuse to a partner or ex partner.
He faces a charge of assaulting a second woman allegedly pushing her down the flight of stairs to her injury.
When he appeared from custody in Ayr Sheriff Court last week [Wednesday, May 15] defence solicitor Robert Logan told Sheriff Shirley Foran his client pleaded not guilty to the charges.
He was returned to custody and will face the charges at a later date.
All accused persons reported in the Chronicle are considered innocent unless later admit or found guilty.
