A seven-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital following an incident in New Cumnock.
Emergency services were spotted in the village's Lime Road and Hamilton Drive area at around 8pm on Monday, May 13, following reports of a boy falling from his bike.
The boy was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow by air ambulance following the incident.
His current condition is not yet known.
A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed: "Around 8pm on Monday, 13 May, 2024 we were called to a child having been injured after falling from his bike in the Hamilton Drive area of New Cumnock.
"Emergency services attended and the seven-year-old boy was taken by air ambulance to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow.
"The road was closed for around two hours while investigations were carried out."
