LADY members at Cardross Golf Club went totally purple on Saturday to raise funds for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

The Lady Captain’s Day event was enjoyed by more than 40 ladies, playing golf in the warm sunshine.

The tournament was played in a greensomes format with a couple of twists, as ladies were able to make a £5 donation in order to get club professional Robert Farrell to take their drive at the first hole - needless to say, he was kept very busy!

There was an extra challenge once the competitors reached the 18th green, where they were made to discard their putters and choose either a hockey stick or a croquet mallet to sink their final putts.

It was all in a good cause, though, and the event raised almost £500 for the charity.
