A lucky bunch of Cumnock Juniors youth players got to experience a day at English Premier League champions, Manchester City.
Organised by coach Steven Kelly, the travelling party of 100 players and their parents or guardians got the chance to be part of the crowd for the Premier League game against Luton Town on April 13.
And Steven described the whole experience for the entire travelling party in one word: "phenomenal".
Leaving Cumnock at 6am, the group was packed with excitement and anticipation for the day ahead.
On arrival, the young players headed to the Manchester City football academy, where they took part in small games and challenges.
One lucky player nailed one of the challenges and as a result was rewarded with seeing the City players arriving at the stadium.
But it didn't stop there for Luc Dabrowski and dad, John, as Luc was then asked to don the full City kit before waling out of the tunnel as one of the matchday mascots, alongside defender Manuel Akanji.
Upon leaving the pitch, Luc was given a Kevin de Bruyne signature before he and his dad were led to row A seating for the match.
Speaking about the memorable day, Steven said: "When I first thought about doing this trip, I wanted the kids to be inspired and have an experience that would feed their love of football.
"I think this has most definitely been achieved and is the catalyst for future football related excursions."
