Two people have been taken to hospital following an incident in Cumnock on Saturday evening (March 30).
A heavy emergency services presence was spotted in the town just before 6pm.
Eye witnesses say they spotted at least six or seven police cars, as well as ambulances around Herdston Place.
What was believed to be an air ambulance helicopter was also seen circling over the town before landing on the football park near Barshare.
Police confirmed that a man and a woman were treated following the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of concern for persons at a property in the Herdston place area of Cumnock around 5.50pm on Saturday, 30 March, 2024.
“Emergency services attended and a man and a woman were taken to hospital for treatment."
