A caring dessert shop in Sanquhar is offering vital support for families who are struggling during the Easter holidays.

Tank’s Tubs, which has become a popular shop in Sanquhar over the past two years, is aiming to support those who might need some extra assistance when the schools are off.

Schools in Upper Nithsdale, and across Dumfries and Galloway, have already begun their Easter break, with the new term not beginning until April 8.

In neighbouring East Ayrshire, the last day of the current term is Thursday, March 28, with pupils and staff returning to school on Monday, April 15.

The team at Tank’s Tubs is offering help if anyone is finding it challenging to make ends meet during the break.
