Fire crews were called out to reports of a fire in Auchinleck at the weekend, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) has said.

Locals reported seeing two engines at a property on Arran Drive on Sunday afternoon.

However, crews say that fire had been put out before they arrived at the scene.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were alerted at 3.59pm on Sunday, March 10 to reports of a fire at Arran Drive in Auchinleck.

“Operations Control mobilised two fire engines however the fire was extinguished before crews arrived.

“Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
