Management was praised at an Auchinleck-based care services following a recent report.

The report, published by the Care Inspectorate, involved an unannounced visit to Ayrshire Care Solutions, based in Auchinleck's Main Street.

The service provides a combined housing support and care at home service for people across Ayrshire.

At the time of this inspection the service was supporting 44 people to live independently within their local community.

Key messages of the inspector's report focused on positive messages for management at the service, with a focus on improvements made since a previous report was published.

The latest report reads: "The management team have developed quality assurance processes to support the ongoing improvement of key aspects of the service.

"The management team have a good understanding of areas that require improvement.

"The provider has enhanced the management team, with the appointment of senior support worker, providing additional support to improve the quality of the service."

One requirement was made at a previous inspection and since then the service had put an action plan in place to manage the improvements needed.

It stated: "By February 13, 2024, the provider must ensure that robust and effective quality assurance processes are in place.

"They must ensure the identification of areas requiring action and the continuous improvement of the service.

"A focused service improvement plan was being utilised by the manager to plan, structure and report on key activities across the service.

"We heard of the positive impact this was having on enabling the management team to have a clear monthly plan to achieve their desired outcomes."

The report added that this requirement was met within the timescale given.
