Retrospective plans have been lodged with East Ayrshire Council for the creation of dog breeding kennels on the outskirts of Mauchline.
In their plans, MG Architectural Services say that "the applicant was unaware that a planning application was required."
Plans were submitted to East Ayrshire Council in January.

According to the submission, the most recent use of the planning site was a farm storage building, located at Grassmillees Farm, south-east of Mauchline.
Proposals suggest a change of the existing storage site in the building to create space for five dog breeding kennels.
Both Environmental Health and the Ayrshire Roads Alliance had no objections to the plans, according to the application.
You can view the full plans on the East Ayrshire Council planning page, by searching for application 24/0040/PP.
