Environmental crime officers have been out in Auchinleck and Cumnock to tackle local concerns.
Workers were in the area, as well as out in Kilmarnock, to stop issues such as dog fouling, fly tipping and littering.
East Ayrshire Council's environmental crime team have been reminding residents that they are able to issue an on-the-spot fine of between £80 and £500 if you're caught in the act of these crimes.

and report offenders to the Procurator Fiscal

Offenders also risk being reported to the procurator fiscal - with the potential of court proceedings and a criminal conviction as a result.
