A major road in Mauchline is set to be closed for over a day for bridge repair works to take place.
The B743 Ayr Road is set to be shut off as Ayrshire Roads Alliance (ARA) allows the work to go ahead.
A section of the road on the west side of the town is set to be shut off for around 250 metres close to the railway bridge.
The closure has been scheduled for between 11pm on Saturday, February 24 and 6am on Monday, February 26.
A 12-mile diversion will be in place throughout the work, via B743 Ayr Road, B730 Montgomerie Street, B744, A76 Kilmarnock Road, B743 Loudoun Street and vice versa.
ARA says that the days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions, but the order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency Services access will not be affected.
Access for residents and deliveries out with the working zone will be maintained via diversion route.
