Cumnock's newest business has officially opened its doors this week.
The Sweet Retreat on Glaisnock Street will become a place for those of you with a sweet tooth, offering a range of sweets, ice cream, milkshakes and loads more.
Spearheading is Sarah Found and Tasha Allan, who will be the main faces of the store.
Sarah has had previous experience of opening a similar store, having taken on what was previously the soft play area in Cumnock heading up Barrhill Road.
However, the space opened up just days before the pandemic took over, forcing it to close before long.
Having taken over the shop which was previously a nail parlour, Sarah and Tasha are now looking forward to the latest adventure, starting this week.
Sarah said: "It's been a lot of work going into the shop and we are excited just to get it open now and get people in.
"It was basically a shell before and we've had four weeks of doing it up and getting it the way we want it.
"Eventually, we'll plan to do up the back rooms as well and make use of them, but we've got enough space to have plenty of customers in the shop as it is."
Having taken over the shop at the start of January, Tasha and Sarah, along with Robert Gordon and Craig Corbett have worked tirelessly to get the shop to this point.
We are open for delivery folks going to open the shop 10 till 2.30 monday the 5th February delivery number 07425115484

Sarah added: "We'll have sweets, ice cream, waffles, crepes, and all sorts on offer.
"We're planning on opening during lunch hours for the school kids and things like that, and then we'll close for the late afternoon and then open up again in the evening.
"Since we closed our last place, we've really wanted to get something like this again, so we're delighted to get it open."
The shop is open this week from 10am until 2.30pm, and then again from 4.30pm until 10pm.
More information about the shop can be found on The Sweet Retreat Facebook page.
