Drivers are being reminded of a busy road closure on a section of the A70 this weekend.
Ayrshire Roads Alliance, which carries out work on behalf of East Ayrshire Council, is set to shut off a section of the road to allow white lining and anti-skid work to take place.
Burnock Road, close to the junction with Mill Street and Mauchline Road, is set to be closed for the work.
The road is a popular for drivers between Cumnock and Ayr, with a diversion being set up for the duration of the work.
A closure is due to be in place from 8am on Saturday, February 3 until 5pm on Sunday, February 4.
The notice says that the days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
A diversion will be in place via the A70 towards Cumnock, A76 to Auchinleck, C62 and then the B7036 towards Ochiltree, and vice versa.
