Two Ayrshire towns which were recently named as among the happiest in the UK have been shortlisted as among the most depressing in Britain in a separate poll.
Both Kilmarnock and Ayr were listed on Rightmove's happiest places to live across the UK in December.
They made it on to the top 15 list in Scotland, with Ayr placed seventh and Kilmarnock 10th, and were also ranked within the top 100 in the UK as a whole, at 83rd and 97th respectively.

Now a new poll asking members of the public across the UK to nominate the country's 'most boring boroughs and tedious towns' names both locations in a 153-place shortlist.
The poll, run by scathing town reviews site iLiveHere.co.uk, is scouring the UK looking for the worst place to live.
The poll is something of an annual tradition but this year the emphasis has changed from a poll locating the “worst place” to live in the UK, to one finding the most depressing.
However, neither Rightmove's 'happiest places', nor the new 'most depressing' list, go into detail on exactly why either Kilmarnock or Ayr earned their places on the shortlist.
Both Kilmarnock and Ayr feature on this year's shortlist, with people able to vote on the UK's most depressing towns at www.ilivehere.co.uk/vote-for-the-most-depressing-town-in-britain.
