Police in Ayrshire have issued a warning amid incidents of "fake" notes being used.

Officers say there have been "several incidents" where fake cash has been used to purchase goods across the region.

The public is being made aware that the counterfeit notes have the words "Movie Money" printed in the top left under the value.
