Plans to transform a Cumnock building into an office complex have been given the green light.

Developers applied for permission to transform the property in Hospital Road, Holmhead.

The building was most recently used as a private dwelling house but had been listed for sale on the market.

The applicant David Weir is now looking to transform the former one-bedroom home into an office space with three office rooms and a reception area.

There is also set to be a kitchen and store room added to the plans.

Four extra parking spaces will be added to the property's land, taking the total spaces to six.

Plans were submitted to East Ayrshire Council in November and approved this week.

A condition that development shall commence within three years of approval was attached to the permission, as is often the case.

No objections had been brought forward, with the Ayrshire Roads Alliance - who carry out work on behalf of East Ayrshire Council - saying they have no issues with the plans.
