A fire-damaged former bank building in New Cumnock is set to go up for auction once again.

Listed on Future Property Auctions, the derelict building on the corner of Castle and Pathhead went up in flames at the end of March 2023.

Following the fire, the building has been listed for sale at auction on numerous occasions, including April and July last year.

However, there has been no buyer of the building as of yet.

Previously a bank, the fire caused extensive damage to the interior of the building, as well as destroying a large portion of the roof.

Bidding on the building is set to begin on Thursday, January 25 at 10am and will run until 3pm the same day.

An opening bid price has been set at £52,000.

A description of the listing states the property will require a full renovation due to the damage sustained in the fire.

The description said there is an "opportunity to re-develop to create a stunning home with potential value of over £500,000 given the impressive size and sought-after location."

It adds that buyers could transform it into five flats, subject to planning approval.

The listing can be viewed on the Future Property Auctions website.
