Plans have been lodged to install new containers and a canopy at a recycling centre near Cumnock.
An application for the containers and a tensile fabric canopy has been submitted by the council to the local authority's own planning department.
The canopy would be formed to cover a materials recovery area at Garlaff Recycling Centre in Skares Road.
It would be positioned in the centre of the recycling area, with skips still to be positioned around the outside.
Proposed plans were lodged just before Christmas, with an internal decision target date being set for Thursday, February 22.
