Cumnock Chronicle: Grave

Grieving families were warned they could be at risk after nearly a third of all gravestones in Cumnock cemetery were ruled to be dangerous. The Cemetery Safety Squad from East Ayrshire Council were due to move into Cumnock to tackle the issue. The final bolts were tightened in the framework for Cumnock’s new indoor swimming pool. Leisure Group chair Janice Andrews and Treasurer Donald Howie are pictured doing the honours with the final bolt.

The Rotary Club in Cumnock held their PT Quiz and there was a great turnout. The winning team from Barshare were presented with their trophy by Rotarian Reverend Jason Boyd.

Cumnock Chronicle: Cumnock firtefighters received medals for the Queen's Jubilee

Cumnock firefighters received prestigious medals as a special memento to celebrate the Queen’s Golden Jubilee, as well as a reward for their dedicated service and hard work.

New Cumnock Burns Club held their annual supper in the Bard’s memory at the Lochside Hotel. Outgoing Club President Jim Wilson (right) made history as he handed over the gavel to the incoming club president - his brother Robert Wilson.
