Ballochmyle Medical Group's surgery in Mauchline will not reopen as planned on Wednesday following an 'incident impacting the building'.
The surgery was due to reopen on Wednesday, December 27 but the Catrine surgery will be open as planned.
An NHS Ayrshire and Arran spokesperson said: "If you wish to speak to someone over the phone please contact the usual number on 01290 456001. During out of hours contact NHS 24 on 111.
"Due to reduced capacity on the Mauchline site, provision of services may be reduced and you may be contacted to have your appointment rescheduled.
"We would ask for your patience and cooperation during this difficult time, particularly as telephone lines may be busier than normal from Wednesday morning.
"The Catrine Surgery will be opening as planned on Wednesday, December 27. We will provide a further update to patients as soon as this is available."
