A weekend closure of the A70 near Ochiltree will no longer be needed, according to roads bosses in the area.
The Ayrshire Roads Alliance (ARA) had been carrying out essential road resurfacing, with a full weekend road closure set to take place this weekend.
A similar closure was in place on December 2 and 3.
However, ARA has announced that the resurfacing work has now been completed ahead of schedule, and that the road will not have to be shut on December 8 and 9.
