Two Cumnock teenagers are set to stand trial after denying claims of assault.
Nathan Conway and Jack McCall, both aged 19, are accused of assaulting a man by pulling him to the ground and repeatedly punching and kicking him on the head, to his severe injury.
Conway, of Forbes Avenue, and McCall, of Emrys Avenue, are alleged to have carried out the attack in Cumnock on September 2, 2022.
McCall faces a second charge of breaking bail conditions by not remaining within his address during his court ordered curfew.
Both men appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court last week to confirm their not guilty pleas; they will stand trial in the New Year.
