A beautiful nine-year-old Border Collie is hoping to be adopted from Islay dog rescue in Cumnock.

Romanian-born Pepper has been living at the animal care facility for two months, and currently stays in a foster home in Dalmellington.

Islay Dog Rescue are hoping that someone can give Pepper her forever home.

Cumnock Chronicle:

A statment said: "She loves long walks and shorter walks with lots of sniffs. She gets on well with calm dogs if introduced nicely.

"She is not a great pal with cats and gets very excited when she sees the sheep and deer on her walks.

"Pepper has a couple of quirks, on each of her back paws she has 5 toes and a dew claw, which is quite unusual.

"Pepper also prefers sleeping out in the garden, either on the bed in the photo, or hidden in bushes under a tree.

"Islay Dog Rescue has adopted many dogs from Romania, Bosnia, London and of course locally in Scotland.

Cumnock Chronicle:

"We take most breeds, at the moment we have two beautiful German shepherds. We also have a Great Dane, which are rare to see these days.
