An election of community councillors to Ochiltree Community Council will be held next month.

In accordance with the East Ayrshire Council Community Council Scheme, the electins will be held on Monday, November 20 at 7pm in the Ochiltree Community Hub.

Members of the public residing within the area of Ochiltree Community Council are invited to come along on the evening and vote for the candidates of their choice.

If you reside within the Community Council area and are interested in becoming a local Community Councillor, nomination papers are available from Alex Baird, Chairperson of Ochiltree Community Council by emailing alexbaird9@outlook.com or calling 0778 067 4252.

Interested parties can also contact Stuart Nelson, Democratic Services Officer, Council Headquarters, London Road, Kilmarnock on 0785 442 2445, or via the East Ayrshire Council website.

The closing date for submission of nominations is Monday, November 6.

To be able to stand for or vote in the election, members of the public will require to be listed in the Electoral Register for the area of the Community Council and be aged 16 or over.

Voting on the evening will only take place should the Election result in a ballot.
